Looking for a VisitUs alternative?

VisitUs is a good Australian product with a genuinely free plan, and for a lot of businesses that free plan is the right answer. This page explains when it isn't — and is upfront about the cases where you should pick them over us.

Start here, because it's the honest bit

If you just need a visitor book, use their free plan.

As at 2 August 2026, VisitUs offers a free Core plan with unlimited sign-ins across unlimited locations, no credit card and no contract. If what you want is to replace a paper book at reception — visitors sign in, you know who's in the building — that is a better deal than paying us, and we're not going to pretend otherwise.

The rest of this page is about the point where free stops being the answer: when you have contractors, inductions and a regulator who may one day ask you to prove something.

What a compliance setup costs

VisitUs prices by module, per month, per location. To get roughly what Flowmatix Pro includes, you'd stack these four.

Australian monthly prices from visit-us.com · retrieved 2 August 2026

Inductions & document signingCompliance — A$35Included
Badge printing & photo captureSecurity — A$30Included (badges from Starter)

Per month, one location≈ A$101$99 flat — covers up to 5 sites

Module prices are VisitUs's published Australian monthly rates as displayed on their pricing page on 2 August 2026; annual billing is discounted. Which modules you'd actually need depends on your site. Flowmatix prices exclude GST. Both vendors change pricing — check both before you decide.

The point isn't that we're dramatically cheaper, because at this configuration we're not — it's about A$2. The question worth asking is what that hundred dollars buys you.

The difference that matters

An acknowledgement, or a record that holds?

Most systems can capture that someone ticked a box against a document. What an investigator asks is narrower: which version did they accept, when, and could they have skipped it?

Flowmatix binds each acceptance to a specific version of your wording. Edit your site rules and the version increments — existing acceptances keep the version they were made against, and everyone re-accepts at their next sign-in. Acceptance is validated on the server, so it can't be clicked past with a back button.

We could not establish from VisitUs's public documentation whether their inductions are versioned, so we make no claim about it. It's a good question to put to them directly — and to us. See how ours works on SWMS sign-off and contractor induction.

Being straight with you

When VisitUs is the better choice

You want free, across many locations

Their Core plan covers unlimited sign-ins and unlimited locations at no cost. We have no free tier and won't invent one. For basic sign-in across a lot of sites, they win outright.

You need an API or single sign-on

We have neither, at any price. VisitUs offers both in its Integrations module. If either is a hard requirement, stop reading and go with them — you'd only discover it at our security review anyway.

You want to pay only for the pieces you use

If you need notifications and nothing else, A$12 a location beats our $49. Module pricing is genuinely better when your needs are narrow.

You have more than about a dozen sites

We give you per-site records and per-site evacuation today; a single all-sites dashboard is roadmap, not shipped. At real portfolio scale that gap will bite.

Questions

Is the VisitUs free plan really free?

Yes, as at 2 August 2026 — unlimited sign-ins and locations, no card, no contract. If that covers you, take it.

Why is your comparison table so close on price?

Because that's what the numbers say. We'd rather show you A$101 against $99 and argue about what's included than round their price up.

Do you version inductions and they don't?

We version ours. We don't know whether they version theirs — their public docs don't say, so we don't claim it. Ask them.

Can we trial both?

You should. Their Core plan is free and our trial is fourteen days with the card charged $0. Run both on one gate for a fortnight — it's the only comparison that counts.
