Looking for a Sine alternative?
Sine is a capable, well-established Australian product backed by Honeywell. This page sets out where the two differ, where Sine is the better choice, and what we could and couldn't verify about it — with sources and a date on every claim.
Our rule for this page
We only state what we can show you.
Comparison pages have a reputation for being fiction. Ours has a rule: if we can't point at a public page from the vendor, we don't claim it — and where we don't know, we say we don't know. Everything below was checked against Sine's own website and Australian store on 2 August 2026. Prices and features change; if you're reading this much later, check both.

The difference that matters
A tick-box, or the evidence?
Most visitor systems can record that someone acknowledged a document. The question a regulator actually asks is narrower: which version did they accept, when, and could they have skipped it?
Flowmatix binds every acceptance to a specific version of your wording. Edit your site rules and the version increments — old acceptances keep the version they were made against, and everyone re-accepts at their next sign-in. Acceptance is validated on the server, so it can't be clicked past. That's the whole design goal: a SWMS sign-off and site induction that survive being looked at.
Being straight with you
When Sine is the better choice
There are real cases where we are the wrong answer, and you'll find out faster here than in a sales call.
You need a public API or deep integrations
We don't have one. If your visitor data has to flow into another system automatically, Sine offers API access on its Large plan and we can't match that at any tier.
You need single sign-on
We use local accounts with role-based access and optional two-factor. If your IT policy mandates SSO, Sine offers it from Medium and we'd fail your security review.
You want a native app and a known brand
Sine has a polished native app, years of installs, and Honeywell behind it. If enterprise procurement is going to ask "who else uses this," that's a fair question and Sine has the better answer today.
You need central reporting across many sites
We give you per-site records and per-site evacuation today. A single all-sites dashboard is on our roadmap, not shipped. Above roughly a dozen sites, that gap is real.
Where we fit
Built for the business in the middle.
Australian visitor management splits in two. Mainstream apps are polished but stop at an acknowledgement. Contractor-compliance platforms go deep but are quoted, sales-led and sized for principal contractors managing hundreds of subcontractors.
If you're a business with one to ten sites, real WHS obligations and no IT department, neither shape fits — and that gap is the entire reason Flowmatix exists. Compliance depth at a published price, live the same afternoon. See warehousing, construction and healthcare & aged care.
Questions
How much does Sine cost?
As at 2 August 2026 they don't publish plan prices — their pricing page asks you to request a quote. We can't tell you what you'd pay, so we won't guess. Ours are on the pricing page.
Will Sine cap our check-ins?
No per-plan cap is published. Their guidance refers to estimated check-in volume and a fair usage policy, and points busy sites to Enterprise. Worth asking directly in a quote. We don't meter sign-ins at all.
Can we run both while we switch?
Yes — most people pilot one gate for a fortnight alongside whatever they have. Nothing to install, and no lock-in either way.
Is the WWCC check available outside Victoria?
No. Victorian WWCC and VIT only, and it flags an issue to your team rather than blocking entry. We'd rather scope that honestly than imply national coverage.
